Some random thoughts 6

Living, loving, and creating with all my strength

Translated from the original Chinese. Original version

It suddenly started snowing yesterday on my way to dinner. As I walked, I felt a little flash of insight, and some things I’d been thinking about lately gradually took shape.

I wouldn’t dare say I’ve grasped anything as profound as “You only live once (YOLO).” It’s just a similar sort of thought. For too long, I’ve been too casual about my life. On a larger scale, I haven’t managed to experience life more fully. On a smaller scale, I’ve also missed many opportunities to grow.

Maybe taking things casually is my comfort zone. There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with that, and it’s how I’ve always been. But I think that sometimes, with some things, I still need to put in more passion to arrive at something deeper. I saw something somewhere a while ago—I can’t remember where—about how, when you’re young, you should create and love with 200% passion. “With all your strength” is a good phrase. I need to live with all my strength, love with all my strength, and create with all my strength.
